Religious or non-religious?

Religious or non-religious?

When planning a funeral, we can arrange a minister of celebrant, but we would need to know if the deceased would prefer a religious or non-religious ceremony, and whether there is s specific minister or other individual they would [prefer to have leading the ceremony. If the deceased was religious, particularly if they regularly attended a place of worship, we would expect to contact the leader of that place of worship in the first instance.

For humanist or non-religious services, there are celebrants who can lead a service that is not linked to any faith. As there are no religious services to follow in these cases, the service can be tailored more completely to the individual being commemorated.

Ultimately, the choice of how to proceed rests with you, and we will be here to support you throughout the process of making these decisions.
